    May Bou Mansour

    Director

I established Magnolia Helping Hands in 2021 to support people with disabilities to live safe, meaningful, and independent lives. I have a background in administration and executive support, having worked in one of Australia’s major banks and later overseas with an international law firm. These roles have given me the necessary organisational skills, strong commitment to quality outcomes, and self-motivation I needed to become a NDIS provider. This was a natural progression for me as I have always had a heightened awareness of how to provide quality supports to those with disabilities.

I take pride in the way Magnolia builds strong, trusting relationships with our participants, their families, and key stakeholders, through our team of highly engaged and caring support workers, ensuring each person feels heard, respected and supported to achieve their goals.

Magnolia Helping Hands is built on values of respect, dignity, choice, and care for individuals from diverse backgrounds, within a framework of processes and procedures that maintain NDIS compliance at their core.

    Richard Gill

    Compliance Manager

May realised quickly that she needed someone dedicated to ensuring Magnolia remains compliant with the evolving NDIS landscape as the business grows. We knew each other from having worked together in the banking industry where I worked in compliance roles for 20 years.

I manage Magnolia’s NDIS compliance through Provider Institute membership, ensuring our policies and procedures are up to date as NDIS evolves. I also develop and manage the company's operational documentation including incident and risk registers with a focus on continuous improvement, and have establishes Emergency and Disaster Management plans for each client ensure theirs and staff safety during emergency events.

I work with May to conduct training exercises with staff to share knowledge and ensure everyone is up to date with NDIS changes, and that our service offerings are NDIS compliant and best practice.

Hi, I'm originally from Nepal. I recently completed my studies in Cookery, inspired by a deep passion for food, creativity, and exploring different cultures. At the same time, I've always felt a strong desire to make a positive impact in people's lives, especially supporting individuals with disabilities — which is what led me to become a Support Worker.

In this role, I've found real joy in helping others grow and build confidence through meaningful activities. Cooking, for example, not only encourages practical skill development, but also boosts independence, self-expression, and social connection. I've seen how shared experiences like this can be truly empowering.

Outside of work, I enjoy creating TikTok content and spending time outdoors — swimming, bushwalking, and cycling are some of my favourite activities. I'd be more than happy to share these interests with the people I support, encouraging active, engaging, and inclusive experiences tailored to their individual goals.

Being a Support Worker is more than a job to me — it's an opportunity to walk alongside someone in their journey, helping them discover their strengths and enjoy life to the fullest.

    Support Worker

Hi, I am originally from Nepal, with life experiences shaped by several years in Canada before migrating to Australia. I am currently in my second year of a Bachelor of Nursing, and for the past two years I have been working in the healthcare sector as a Disability Support Worker and Personal Care Assistant.

I am passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care. I take a holistic approach, aiming to understand each participant’s unique needs, preferences, and life goals. My experience includes supporting individuals with intellectual, mental health, and physical disabilities, as well as those undergoing rehabilitation.

My key strengths include empathy, adaptability, therapeutic communication, medication support, and safe manual handling, all delivered with a strong commitment to upholding each participant’s dignity and independence. I believe support work means walking alongside participants through their highs, challenges, milestones, and everyday life—ensuring they feel respected, empowered, and genuinely cared for.

I am fluent in English and Nepali, and I am dedicated to helping every participant I support achieve an improved quality of life.

Hi, I’m a generally quiet and introverted person, but I get along easily with others and enjoy listening to their stories. I adapt quickly to change and approach every task with patience and dedication.

I have deep compassion and empathy for those in need, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. While I can be very generous — sometimes to a fault — I’m learning to balance kindness with good judgment. I like to share what I’ve learned from my past experiences and use my skills to help others.

My hobby is buying, restoring and selling them. Before selling the cars, I take them for long drives to make sure they’re roadworthy and safe. I think God has given me patience and skills to impart to my family, the elderly, and people with disability so they enjoy, and are able to access different places they may not otherwise experience, while being safe and sound.
